March 2023 Blog Income Report

I would like to start these series by telling you a little bit about my blogging project.

I started blog #1 in 2019 when I bought my domain. I created the blog, bought a theme and started creating some posts. I had no clue about what I was doing so I started reading and researching. Although I created a couple of posts, I wasn’t taking it seriously. This year I decided to resume my blog now that I have more knowledge in blogging and clear objectives. Keep on reading my first income report.

Previous months recap

On 2021 I bought an amazing course called Stupid Simple SEO. I still have so much to do, but I am finally creating consistent content that is starting to rank. All I can say is that this course is so worth it.
Between 2019 and 2022 I created a total of 31 blog posts, most of them written without SEO in mind. At this pace I was sure I was not going anywhere so on 2023 I decided to go for it and start a consistent content creation plan.
Goals for March 2023:
- Publish 8 blog posts. – Accomplished: I published 9
- Double March 2022’s income ($4.60). – Accomplished $19.18

March 2023 Traffic report

This is my traffic report from March 2023.

Sessions: 2,687

Pageviews: 3,056

March 2023 was my best month in terms of sessions and pageviews. October 2022 was my second best in these terms but my best in income ($50.35).

If we check this chart for the past year, the pageviews are increasing. I am interested in getting accepted in Mediavine and for that to happen I need at least 50,000 ~~pageviews~~ sessions. The peak in June 2022 should not be taken into consderation since that traffic came from unreliable sources.

October was my best month on 2021 ($26.05) and 2022 ($50.35). The reason for this is because I have a very popular freebie related to Halloween that I shared on Pinterest and many people clicked it and went to my blog. So the traffic from October 2021 and 2022 came mostly from Pinterest. This makes me think 2 things: I should be sharing my content on Pinterest and create more freebies. These are 2 things I am adding to my to-do list in the near future.

Review

Overall I think the content creation has helped to bring organic traffic to my blog, which is my main objective. I applied to Ezoic and I got accepted at the end of March, so in April I will have Google AdSense and Ezoic.

On the next months I will focus on creating content. My goal is to have at least 120 posts by the end of 2023.
