May 2023 Blog Income Report

Hey there! Welcome to my May 2023 Blog Income Report. This report is for my blog #1. Check out this post for the general explanation about my blogs.

Right now I am focused on creating content and getting organic traffic. My goal is to get at least 50,000 sessions to be able to apply to Mediavine. My overall goal is to be able to make a living from my blog. It has not been easy to work on my blog while having a full time job and 2 kids, however, one thing that has kept me focused is establishing goals every month.

Goals for May 2023 (Recap)

My goals for May 2023 were

Publish 8 posts – FAILED (I published 6)
Income: $14.00 – ACCOMPLISHED ($22.43)

From this month onward, I won’t have pageviews as a goal because Mediavine requires sessions (GA4) instead of pageviews. These are my sessions from March 2023 – May 2023:

March 2023: 2,687
April 2023: 2,912
May 2023: 4,491

Overall I think my content plan has been helping me to increase my numbers and this indicates that I am right on track. I have been focusing on curating content but eventually I would like to move to DIY posts created by me. I made some projections and if I grow 10% in sessions every month, I will be able to apply to Mediavine by Sept/Oct 2025. It looks far but I hope I can get there sooner.
