April 2023 Blog Income Report

Hey there! Welcome to my April 2023 Blog Income Report. This report is for my blog #1. Check out this post for the general explanation about my blogs.

As you can see on my first blog income report on March 2023, I have been focusing on creating content to increase my traffic. I am also only aiming for organic traffic, which means I need to focus on SEO to be able to rank high. My goal is to get at least 50,000 sessions to be able to apply to Mediavine.

Goals for April 2023 (Recap)

Publish 14 posts – FAILED
Income: $6.00 – ACCOMPLISHED
Pageviews: 3,200 – ACCOMPLISHED

I set a goal to publish 14 posts on April 2023. I only was able to publish 8. I am still adjusting to what I can accomplish monthly and I won’t be able to publish as much as I want. Being on a full time job and with 2 kids under 10, I already have my hands full. I think aiming to publish 8 blog posts a month is more realistic than 14, so this goal will be readjusted.

When I set my goal income I took last year’s income and multiplied it by 2.5. I now have way more content and traffic and thanks to this, on April 2023 I had an income of $14.03. I am very happy for this result.

As for pageviews, I set my goal based on March 2023. On March 2023, I had 3,056 pageviews. I aimed for a 5% increase, which was 3,200. However, I got 3,669 pageviews, which meant a 20% increase. I am also very happy with this result.

April 2023 Traffic Report

April 2023 was my new best month in terms of users and pageviews. April’s income decreased compared to March 2023. This month I have Ezoic for ads and Google Adsense as my second option. I think that this change has influenced my income’s decrease, because Ezoic takes up to 6 weeks to learn about my blog and audience to optimize and show the best ads that will bring me more income. We’ll see next month what happens.

Review

I continue to see an increase in my organic traffic and this is my main goal for now. I still have to see if Ezoic was a good idea, but I need to give it time. For now, I think I am right on track and will continue working on creating content. My goal is to have at least 120 posts by the end of 2023.
